Let's assume we have following MySQL table: CREATE TABLE photos( id INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, name VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL, photo1 VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL, photo2 VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL ) First of all we need an active database connection: $link_id = mysql_connect($server, $username, $password) or die(mysql_error()); mysql_select_db($db_name, $link_id) or die(mysql_error()); Then, we should create the FileSyncDB object: require_once('filesyncdb.class.php'); $fsyncdb = new FileSyncDB(); $fsyncdb->link_id = $link_id; $fsyncdb->root_dir = 'db_images/photos/'; Here is an example of extended INSERT query: $fields = array('name' => 'Richard Brown'); $ext_fields = array( 'photo1' => array('uploads/richard1.jpg', 'richard1_' . mt_rand(1000, 9999) . '.jpg'), 'photo2' => array('uploads/richard2.jpg', 'richard2_' . mt_rand(1000, 9999) . '.jpg') ); $fsyncdb->Insert('photos', $fields, $ext_fields) or die(mysql_error()); The code above will execute query "INSERT INTO photos (name, photo1, photo2) VALUES ('Richard Brown', 'richard1_1254.jpg', 'richard1_7044.jpg')" and will copy "richard1.jpg" and "richard2.jpg" from "uploads/" to "db_images/photos/" as 'richard1_1254.jpg' and 'richard1_7044.jpg'. Here is an exmaple of extended DELETE query: $where = "name = 'Richard Brown'"; $fsyncdb->Delete('photos', $where, array('photo1', 'photo2')) or die(mysql_error()); The code above will execute query "DELETE FROM photos WHERE name = 'Richard Brown'" and will remove photos of Richard Brown from "db_images/photos/" Here is an example of extended UPDATE query: $where = "name = 'Richard Brown'"; $fields = array('name' => 'Richard Green'); $ext_fields = array( 'photo1' => array('uploads/richard3.jpg', 'richard3_' . mt_rand(1000, 9999) . '.jpg') ); $fsyncdb->Insert('photos', $fields, $ext_fields) or die(mysql_error()); The code above will execute query "UPDATE photos SET photo1 = 'richard3_2458.jpg', name = 'Richard Green' WHERE name = 'Richard Brown'", and will replace the file "richard1_1254.jpg" with the file "richard3_2458.jpg" from "uploads/richard3.jpg".
